Hi everyone! It´s been a while.
I´ve been working very hard with the synths&orchestrations and I can finally say that I´m feeling very positive about finishing this long and gruesome task by christmas. So hopefully around the end of December I can finally start mixing the album. I still have a few vocal parts unfinished, but I will be singing them meanwhile I´m mixing.
The only problem about the mixing is that my current computer gear simply cannot handle these insanely huge projects. And the other problem is that I have no money for new gear. So we have discussed about this problem with our label&management and they have agreed to help us with an advance to buy new and more powerful computer gear, but only if we agree to play a few shows and show people that Wintersun is still alive. So after carefully weighting all the different possibilies, we think we need to play these shows to help the completion of the album.
The shows will be for now:
Metalfest (3 shows)
Metalcamp (1 show)
There´s lot of work and preparation to do for these shows, ´cause we have to update our live gear as well, sort out technical difficulties and of course rehearse the songs. This will most likely affect negatively with the mixing schedule, so I can´t give any predictions with that yet. I also need to try out the new computer gear first and see how it handles these projects. The software is still not 64-bit, so the "infamous 4GB RAM limit" might also be a problem with the mixing, since these projects already eat about 3GB without any plugins. But I will do my best to overcome this challenge the fastest way I can.
And no worries, these shows will definitely not be cancelled. So we are looking forward to you guys, see you at the gigs! Who knows, we might even play a one new riff... I mean a song! ;)

Erico :HELLO PAUL,ITS AN HONOUR TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TALK WITH YOU ABOUT DANTESCO....THIS BAND PLAYS EPIC METAL WITH A LOR OF TRADITIONAL DOOM ELEMENTS,ITS THE MIX THAT I ALLWAYS FELT EVERYTIME I HEARD THE RECORDS OF BLACK SABBATH WITH DIO ON VOCALS...TRADITIONAL,BUT EPIC,BUT DOOMY!
THIS BAND STARTED FROM THE SPLIT OF SOME OTHER BANDS IN THE ISLAND,THEY HAD AN IDEA OF A BAND AND ME AS A LONG TIME FRIEND WAS INVITED TO MAKE THIS MUSICAL TRAVEL...AND HERE WE ARE...DANTESCO.

Erico :PAGANO IS A GREAT ALBUM AND AN ALBUM THAT WE LOVE A LOT...WHEN THE BAND WAS PASSING SOME BAD AND STRANGE TIMES...CAME PAGANO AND THE ENERGY OF THE GODS GAVE US A TRACK....IS A BRILLIAT ALBUM
-What about live shows ? Any tour or someting like that confirmed?
Erico : WE PLAY SOME GIGS IN PUERTO RICO EVERY YEAR ONLY LIKE 3 OR 4....WE HAVE THIS YEAR USA,ARGENTINA AND COLOMBIA,....CHILE IS WAITING TOO!
-How difficult is to line up a succesfull band in your country?
Erico :T IS VERY HARD AS IS NOT A CULTURE BASED IN ROCK ROOTS LIKE ARGENTINA OR SOME EUROPEAN COUNTRIES....ALSO IS NOT POPULAR AT ALL,NO RADIO,TV,PAPER...NOTHING....NOW SOME GOOD THINGS AND GROWING OF THE SCENE IS HAPPENING BUT IT NNED A LOT OF TIME AND EDUCATION FIRST...BECAUSE WHEN YOU HAVE A BAND THAT WORKS A LOT FOR THEIR OWN AND HAVE SOME GOOD RESULTS,YOU BIGGER ENEMIES ARE THE OTHER BANDS FROM THE ISLAND MOST OF THEM TALKING SHIT ABOUT YOU AND DO NOTHING

- Hello Alexey . What news from Fferyllt?
Alexey :Hello. Now we are recording the second album which will be more symphonic than folk. The band's staff changed and differs from original one very much. That's why new members take part in recording of the second album. Now our band is looking for a booking agent or a manager for tour organization and promotion.
-Always I was considered about the band's name. Tell me a few things about that!
Alexey : You are nearly the one hundredth who asked about it! As you asked I will tell just a couple of things. On the whole Fferyllt is colletion of magic spells, curses and resipes of ancient druids. It is like a book!
-Wow interesting! How does the band bagun ?
Alexey : The idea of creation belongs to Dmitriy Eliseev aka Diarmaid and it was born in 2003. In the beginning of 2007 I met Dmitriy and we started our common work. And when I found some more musicians such as Yanina Zelenskaya and Alexander Lebedev it was the official day of our band’s birth. It was the 6th of May 2007.
-Have you god any special influences ?
Alexey : We take inspiration from music of such bands as Moonsorrow, Amon Amarth, Svartsot, Tyr, Ensiferum.
-Witch is the main topic of your lyrics ? Your lyrics support the Celtic culture?
Alexey : Celtic culture is not the main theme of our lyrics because celtic ideology refers to only some songs among our lyrics. These are such songs as A Celtic tale (Instrumental), Night of the woodgod, Dance of druids and may be Warriors of Ireland. The rest mostly is connected with ancient northern, Scandinavian mythology.
-What about your records (cd's) and what about your label (Stygian Crypt) ? Have you got good profits?
Alexey : We are pleased that we concluded the contract with Stygian Crypt Production to release the first album. As it is the first release we don’t have good profits, but this label has an opportunity to export our cd all over the world. And Stygian Crypt helped us to find musicians who record live ethnic instruments.
-How difficult is to create a succeed metal band in Russia? There are also a lot of well-known bands up there ?

Alexey : Actually there are not so many successful metal bands in Russia, especially folk metal bands, at least it is my own opinion. The difficulty in creation of a metal band is that it is hard to find responsible musicians for their music work. And one more problem is the bad support of heavy music in Russia!
-Have you organized any live appearance this year?
Alexey : Yes, 2010 was the richest year of live performances of our band.
-Ok Alexey, I know you are working on a new material with Fferyllt . Tell me a few things about this!

Alexey : Of course, most ideas belong to our keyboard player (Dmitriy Eliseev). Being one of Fferyllt’s guitarists I participate in creation of guitar parts and I am in charge of all solo parts. I can assure that the second album will have more difficult guitars riffs and it will be more symphonic than the first one.
- Anything you want to say before we end of this?
Alexey : It is a pleasure for us to get a lot of good comments about our music from all over the world. I would like to say thank you to all people who listen to and support us!!! We hope pretty soon to make them happy with our live performances.

- Hello Joni, what the band does right now?
Joni : At the moment im writing new songs and after that we practice them whit band and hopefully in this year we can record them whit real studio quality!
-Tell me about the history of the band .Joni : I created this band in year 2009. In that year i just wrote songs and then i asked Joonas to join my project. Then we play my songs i played guitar, Joonas drums and one guy bass and one guy other guitar. Then i asked Juho to join that project. After that i create band name "Frosttide" and i created that logo too! After that we practice more my songs and add Lise to play keyboards and Tuukka to play bass. now we got new basist called Jaakko!
- What about your influences ? Joni : I write songs, play guitar and do vocals! Nothing else to say =D
-Tell me a few words for the members of the band.Joni : There is Drummer Joonas, Guitar player Juho who write some songs too, Keyboard player Lise and Basist Jaakko! They are talented young people!
- Have you got any other release except the masterpiece EP of "Dawn Of Frost" ?Joni : Dawn of Frost EP is our first recording. In that EP there is songs what i wrote before i asked Joonas to play drums to Frosttide. So before Juho we got these song but when Juho join to Frosttide he write song called Unforgettable Journey and we add that song to our EP and thats it! That EP is our Dawn so thats why it's called "Dawn of Frost" and intro songs is called "Dawn".
- Is your band signed on a label ?
Joni : At the moment we are unsigned band and thats why its quite hard to record songs whit real studio quality and get gigs! Its hard to be underground band in Finland =D
- What about your new material?Joni : Im writing new songs whit Juho's help and hopefully we can record them in this year by using real studio quality! Its gonna be kick ass stuff nothing else to say!
- I hope the same dude!!!! Well now I have to ask about Finland. Metal music in Finland is something like an rare export or it is similar like religion?
Joni : I can say that Finland is land of heavy metal so metal music is popular here. So if you walk streets of Finland you can see many metal heads! Many band comes from Finland like Ensiferum, Finntroll, Turisas, Korpiklaani, Wintersun, Amorphis, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Children of Bodom Kalmah etc!
- Have you take part on a festival before?
Joni : Not yet! Last summer we got one gig in Finland where was little Finnish bands but that's not a Festival =D
- What about Nummirock Festival? How does this begun?
Joni : Nummirock is Finnish metal festival. Last year there was Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Thyrfing, Dark Tranquillity, Sepultura, Venom, Sonata Arctica etc. And now they made contest where 8 best bands get gig in Nummirock and we hope that folks give us many stars and we can get gig there ^^
